Is the sauce made with mustard?
Ivy’s Peppa Sauce is NOT made with mustard. What gives this unique sauce its yellow color is Turmeric and Curry! The peppa sauce's unique profile captures the true and distinct flavors of traditional Panamanian condiments. Its pourable consistency derives from a combination of high-quality peppers, garlic, onions, and pinches of curries.
What makes Ivy’s Peppa Sauce different from the other sauces on the market?
Ivy’s Peppa Sauce recipe is 100 years old. My great-grandmother used to make it, my grandmother made it and my mom, Ivy, created her very own recipe from those recipes. It’s coming to you all the way from Panama but manufactured in the United States. My sauce is fitting for the most sophisticated food connoisseurs and the exceptional palates. My peppa sauce is made with low sodium, low sugar (healthy heart), turmeric, curry, and Scotch Bonnet Peppers. I like to think that these ingredients could be termed “superfood” because of their anti-inflammatory properties.

What can you use the peppa sauce for?
Ivy’s Peppa Sauce is downright flavorful. You can use it to flavor things up. Kick things up a couple notches in your kitchen by adding this sauce to your favorite recipes, marinades, and dressings, and to soups and stews. Oh, don’t forget to incorporate it into different dishes, create your own unique cocktails, create an ooh, la, la wing sauce, and fold into your morning scrambled eggs. Add flavor to your ketchup, mayonnaise, and tartar sauce. YUMMMY!
How does your heat category work?
Ivy’s Peppa Sauce is downright flavorful. I have created 3 categories: MILD (Mellow), Medium (Thriller) and Hot (Daring). Although everyone's taste buds are unique, and everyone experiences spicy differently, I try to focus my peppa sauce on different degrees of flavors rather than scorchers.
What is the hottest peppa sauce you sell?
Ivy’s Peppa Sauce ranges from MILD (Mellow), Medium (Thriller) and Hot (Daring). In our sauce is not a "blazing" or "scorching" heat. Ours is a flavorful heat, with full body and lots of character. All of our sauces are made with a mixture of Scotch bonnet peppers, which are considered very hot (100,000-350,000 SHU) on the Scoville heat scale. But when mixed with our other ingredients, our mild sauce as a very light amount of heat that is more sweet than hot. Our hottest sauce gets its heat from a mixture of curry and Scotch bonnet peppers, but even our hottest sauce is still more flavor than it is heat.
I’m a foodie and I am always looking to try different hot sauces, which peppa sauce can I start with?
All my peppa sauces are extremely flavorful. You can start with the Mellow and move your way up to the Daring. Beware…your life will never be the same! And your tastebuds will thank you for it!
I’m not experienced with eating spicy food, is Ivy’s Peppa Sauce spicy?
After experimenting with various ingredients, my mom, Ivy, knew her sauce was oh-so-good! When Ivy dipped her finger into the sauce, she said, “this is it.” I want to share my mom’s oh-so-good sauce with everyone because my peppa sauce is filled with my mom’s love, and deliciousness.

Do I have to store hot sauce in a fridge?
To be sure to keep your peppa sauce flavorful at its optimum, please shake before using and refrigerate after opening. The peppa sauce shelf life is 1 year.
